Case Study

The Client

What do you say when a previous manager reaches out and asks you to help him strengthen his brand and build his website?  Well, I said “No”. After losing my job I had zero confidence that I could deliver on a project that he was hanging his actual name on. I was afraid that I’d let him down — or worse yet, damage his already strong brand credibility.

While I’m not fluent in the business language that Roeland Vertriest uses, I’ve seen him manage people, build capabilities in those around him, and lead with humility and THAT’S why I finally said “Yes” to helping him grow his brand.

The Ask

Establish a branded web presence that would build off of the already strong industry perception associated with Roeland’s experience and name by designing a website with blog capabilities.

Additional requests were for a presentation template, digital letterhead, and formatted articles.

The Process

A large part of the process was centered around imagery. We settled early on the idea of using architectural photography that was slightly abstract. The images weren’t meant to be the stars, just the supporting roles. Alongside this work, I sourced web platforms and templates options.

The Results

RoelandVertriest.com was launched and I provided tutorials on how to navigate the blog capabilities of the site. I am confident I’ve built a site that will set Roeland up for success.
